Back on Schedule

I hate to admit it but this is my favorite time of the year. The kids are back to school and we can now get on a schedule and get things in order. Not to mention the house stays cleaner and the electric bill is much less. I have done a schedule and posted on the fridge for the kids to follow. Life is good.

Happy Birthday to a smart, funny, wonderful boy (pre-teen) who turns 12 today.

Fourth of July Weekend

This fourth we did not travel to the beach or the lake, we did not go to any one's home for a cook-out. We stayed home, and it was the the best fourth ever.
Friday, we cleaned in the morning and grilled burgers in the evening, watched fireworks Friday night and came home to watch Grand Torino.
Saturday, we finished all the cleaning in the morning, did some shopping in the afternoon, grilled in the evening, played Are you Smarter than a Fifth Grader Saturday night with the kids.

I am going to spend the rest of my weekend getting ready for work this week and laying out by the pool.
